Hi all

Just a quick message I am due to go for surgery soon and would like to know if there are benefits to help support you while being off work as I worried about paying my bills.

As its the end of March I guess you may have had your surgery, I hope all went well. I have the same question as you, my son just had his 8th open heart surgery and when he asked if he was eligible for any financial help, he is now 29 years old, he was told he had not contributed enough national insurance stamp to be è libel for anything. He has worked, but due to major health issues, he has only been able to work intermittently. I think the next thing to do would be to go to your local citizens advice bureau for advice, that's what he plans to do. Good luck.
