Changing Hospitals

Postby judith » Fri Jul 24, 2015 2:41 pm

HI, Has anyone considered changing from London to go to another Adult Congenital heart clinic? If so, has anyone changed to the John Radcliffe in Oxford? If there is anyone can you please tell me if it was a good move? Thanks.

Hi Judith,

I've not changed hospitals but I think taat there have been some posts on here about it. One person got a complete copy of his notes from his old hospital (under the data protection act) and took them to his new hospital, as the NHS struggled to transfer his notes properly. Might be worth getting a copy of your notes before you transfer, just in case.

Hi TD,

Thanks for this advice. I have copies of most letters over the last 10 years but to get the complete record files would be great! I will certainly look into this.

Thanks

Judith
