Good afternoon I have just joined the message board as looking to chat with others who like me have been born with a heart defect..I was born with a left atrial septal defect although this went un detected until it was picked up in a scan when I was in hospital in my late twenties..., since the diagnosis I have go every 5 years now to Bristol Hospital for routine check ups, continue an active life style playing sport and with my career in Horticulture and to date have been very grateful for the support with Guch now the Somerville foundation yet have not had the opportunity to meet those of similar age with such diagnosis so here I am, as would like to know more about the defect as im getting older..since the diagnosis I have made dietary changes that have benefitted me over the last 10 years..so look forward in hearing from you in due course ..

Hi, emeajay

Don't worry about it. This thread was originally posted in the teenagers' forum but was later moved to where it is now: the main forum. The references to the main forum are outdated.

Hi there I am new here. :)
I fall into the 20-30s category. (I am 22)
I was born with Fallot's Tetralogy and was wondering if there are any other Fallot's patients out there, as I have never met anyone before like me! :)
