ICD faulty Sprint Fidelis leads

Postby hunt » Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:49 pm

I wonder if there is anyone out there facing the same dilema as myself - whether to have a faulty lead left in or removed?
It is incredibly hard getting the figures and Medtronic have just told me to talk with my clinician. I had asked :
"In particular I am looking for the figures showing the number of inappropriate shocks or other misfunctions from October 2007 to date as I understand the longer the time the ICD has been in the greater the chance of an exponential increase in the chance of malfunction.
Also I wonder if you have data on the number of leads which have been removed and the incidence of problems arising from the removal"
So if anyone has any tips on how to find the figures I should be very grateful.
