Do any of you ladies have experience of menopause and what impact that might have on your heart health?

Hi Pam,
I've gone thru menopause and it had no affect on my heart health. I experienced the 'normal' hot flashes, headaches, irregular cycles, and I was lucky enough not to have the mood swing symptoms. I started my cycle at age 14 and by age 48 I was done. (very happy day for me) :) Because of my heart problems and family history of cancer the doctors would not prescribe hormones.
BT shunt 1947 (quit fuctioning 6 months later), TOF Repair 1969, 10 heart Caths, ablation 2007, PVR/Maze procedure 2008 (also repaired aorta, tricuspid & PFO valves, replaced 39 yr old VSD patch)
I view my CHD as a challenge....not a curse

I have been through the menopause and no affect has been seen on my heart or that condition.

Just a normal stage in life with the normal ups and downs
